Dr. Nafeesah S. Jordan, DNP, FNP-BC

Clinician. Scholar. Healthcare Systems Advocate.

Dr. Nafeesah S. Jordan is a Doctor of Nursing Practice–prepared Family Nurse Practitioner committed to advancing equitable, evidence-based care. She currently practices primary care at UNLV’s Student Wellness Center in Las Vegas and medical esthetics at Original You in Summerlin, Nevada. Her clinical work spans preventive care, chronic disease management, student health, and aesthetic medicine — supporting patients across the full continuum of wellness.

Prior to relocating to Nevada, Dr. Jordan practiced primary care for five years in underserved communities through two of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers in Illinois. Working within safety-net systems deepened her commitment to health equity, culturally responsive care, and improving access for historically marginalized populations. Those years shaped her understanding that high-quality healthcare must be both clinically excellent and structurally accessible.

Beyond direct patient care, Dr. Jordan is engaged in healthcare systems improvement and clinical scholarship. She is the author of Patient-Centered Medical Home: An Evaluation of Care Coordination for Patients with Hypertension (Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, 2025; ISBN 979-8299093438). Her work evaluates coordinated, patient-centered models of care designed to improve chronic disease outcomes and strengthen delivery systems. Through scholarship, she contributes to ongoing conversations about care coordination, quality improvement, and population health.

Dr. Jordan’s professional focus bridges clinical excellence, healthcare innovation, and systems-level thinking. She develops structured approaches to translating complex healthcare and policy information into actionable insight, strengthening decision-making across clinical environments.

As a Black woman in advanced practice nursing, she is committed not only to representation but to measurable impact. She believes leadership in medicine requires scholarship, integrity, and a willingness to improve systems — not just navigate them.

Dr. Jordan continues to build at the intersection of practice, policy awareness, and innovation — expanding access, improving outcomes, and contributing to the future of healthcare.
